The original St. Michael’s Cathedral was designed to accommodate some 3000 worshippers; unfortunately, a massive hurricane took it down and a much smaller St. Michael’s that is known to us today. The first president of the United States is said to have attended mass here. Check out the pulpit and choir stalls of the church, all carved from the famous mahogany of Barbados.
