Dysart Woods is one of the biggest tracts of the old growth road in South Ohio that still exists. The tract was a part of a huge 455-acre plot that was owned by Orin Dysart. Later it was sold to Ohio University and at present only a part of it is left which is known as Dysart woods. At present, it is used as an outside laboratory for Ohio University. The woods contain trails which is the only sign of human interference.
