A good place to relax and expand your mind. Peacefully challenging. When the mainstream world gets to much i come here to recenter on what is really important.
One of the true gems of Brisbane. Four levels of museum curated artistic bliss. There is a nice book store and gift shop on the way in, which also sells themed items from whoever the main artist on showcase is. On a recent visit in 2018, really enjoyed seeing the works of Australian artist Vincent Namatjira. There is a cafe with river views on the lower level.
Had the best time!! Exhibition's will always change, but thd on thing that will remain is the excellent building and its stunning surrounds. Strongly recommend a visit, even if it's just to hang out in the arts precinct and enjoy some beautiful sunshine Perfect free activities to get kids involved too!
One of the great places to visit if you're in Brisbane either as a tourist visiting or a local yourself. The exhibit changes throughout seasons and they are all interesting. The main exhibit usually will always have an entry price but it's well worth it. You just have to check the website for all the previous ones they have done. Good place to go on quiet dates and get "cultured".
Great place to visit. Its light and spacious and well laid out. The exhibits are so varied everybody should find something they like.
