Brno Technical Museum - Review
Tinkerers and inventors will find a sort of heaven here. Scientific instruments, aircrafts, fire engines, steam engines, jet engines (Russian), sewing kits, old dentist equipment, helicopters, household devices, science experiments – almost every mechanical and technical innovation that made a significant impact on the progress of humanity is represented in this unique museum. While the items stored here might not have great historic value, they certainly have tremendous educational value – this place is also a Mecca for kids. The museum doesn’t merely have exhibits for display; its function extends beyond that to hosting conferences, lectures, overseeing bachelor and masters thesis and pretty much any other activity focused around the development of science.

Brno Technical Museum, Brno Reviews
Large variation of technical items. Some of them explained also in English. Good exhibition of iron works. There is a possibility to play good old Bubble Bobble and other computer games. No cafeteria, but machines were you can buy coffee, juice etc. Old steam machines are impressive.
Great for Kids and adults. Lots of interestjng Machines ranging from evolution of computers to supersonic airfighters.
Very interesting museum! Not very large, but large enough to give at least 2-3 hours worth of looking. Some exhibitions are partly also available in English, but most of it is in Czech only. Emphasis is on products made by Czech industry since the industrial revolution, but many other areas are also covered: It contained among other things: - Socialist era cars - Brno race track motorcycles - Jet engines - Hydropower and water turbines - Old computers - Old radio/TV equipment - Experiments in physics - Ceramic and metal coating - Microscopes and electron microscopes
Great expositions covering various areas (computers, radios, photography, motorization). Unfortunately exponates are described only in Czech. Nevertheless worth seeing.
Good exhibition and changing exbitions every couple of months. Nice place for "bad weather" excursions especially with kids.
