Michigan International Speedway Reviews & Ratings
We had a great time at our first Nascar race. There is so much to see in the fan plaza. We had pit passes and great seats in the grandstand. Personable staff. Pretty well organized for events and getting in and out of the track. The flea market across from the track was great too!
In the last few years especially, Michigan International Speedway has really stepped it up with golf carts to assist people who have difficulty moving. I was a firefighter injured in line of duty and have to walk with a cane. All you have to do is make eye contact, wave, or dance around, they will come to you and bring you to where you need to go quickly and without stressing out your back. If they cannot assist, they all have radios and we'll send a cart your way. The parking has improved as well as I am able to park nearly as closely to the handicap spot as I can. Five stars all the way. I've been going here every year for decades and I've never had a terrible experience. Traffic issues are solved now, but for the smart, leave before the end of the race. Again, leave before the end of the race. It's not worth it because you fight traffic on the way out. I can't remember the last time I had any difficulty getting to or from the track with complete ease. Big thanks to Michigan State Police for assisting with traffic. A wonderful summer experience for the whole family.
The staff here is great! Friendly, patient and I really think they try their best to make sure everyone enjoys their time there. This place is a really large venue, so if you haven’t been there before, make sure you know which entrance you came in and the parking lot number info for your vehicle; if not, it can take a really long time to find your car 🙄😊 Mark, a supervisor that works there, was very kind and patient when I was struggling to remember where I had parked.
Did the Rusty Wallace race Experience at MIS Speedway, 3 laps with a professional driver and 10 laps on my own. What a rush! It was awesome. Birthday present from my wife. I'm ready to go again. My instructor, Art really prepared me well for this, Thank you Art!
Nice track, great view. We were in section CTR4, row 5. Only 4 star because most people wouldn’t enjoy the mile(s) walk to even get to the entrance. Just be prepared to walk a ton. You can ride a trolley/golf cart for $5 a person. Make sure if you are bringing a firearm, it will have to be surrendered and then picked up after the race. Bottled water is at least $3.75. Headphone/ ear plugs is definitely needed!
