It is a submarine park located in the Weeki Wachee River and if the legends are to be believed then this is the hospital for the fish as the injured ones come here, get healed and then find their way back into the sea. This is absolutely magical and a hidden gem as it has breathtakingly beautiful spring system. You can paddle downstream, bring in your own kayak and set on this lovely exploration. Unexplanatory wonderful backwater area with clean deep water will charge you high to dive into it and swim. Beauty and serenity at its best can all be said about this spectacular park.

Hospital Hole Reviews & Ratings

  • Great place for canoeing or kayaking! It was a little crowded, probably due to school bring out for the summer. Everyone in the water was very polite and very friendly. Nice place to get away and just chill.

  • Great area to snorkel or jump off the rope swing. No manatees here on this trip, but plenty of fish to watch. The water is clear and refreshing.

  • Not sure about the name, glad I didn't know it last week. But really, it's amazing. We were kayaking and it was a great time!

  • Love the Weeki Wachee River and the manatee 'healing/hospital' hole. The manatees are gentle, graceful giants.

  • Weeki Wachee river is my absolute favorite place in the state of FL. If you have not been it is so worth the trip. Its gorgeous. Ive been at least 50 times and never seen a gator - which I am petrified of. The staff at the canoe rental place said they've never heard of one in the clear part of the river (where u canoe) in 25 yrs, most likely because there is no where for them to hide. Its crystal clear and has white beach like sand. You will see lots of fish and maybe even a few manatees!
