Broome Historical Society, Broome Reviews
Extremely interesting about the history of Broome. Fantastic shell Collection and facts about the pearling industry in Broome. Very interesting DVDs playing continuously. All run by volunteers and you can get a pass out valid for 7 days if you want to return. We paid $8 each for senior entry and it was worth every cent.
Took the public bus 2 get within 1 block of the museum. The volunteer Linda at the front desk was knowledgeable & helped me do some research into a friend's family history. The 3 dimensional displays, shell collection & historical impact on Broome was comprehensive & interesting. I enjoyed my visit.
We had a great visit. So much historical information that has been guarded by locals who are happy to share whatever they can and add to our very limited knowledge.
An absolute must see if you visit Broome. There’s a fascinating collection of relics, interesting displays and short movies to watch. You’ll leave with an appreciation of the multicultural history that’s makes Broome a truly unique town. Highly recommended👍
A wonderful space that has history and fun things to explore around each corner. Be warned you will need at least a couple of hours to interact with everything.
