We’ve all seen Jurassic Park and wished to see dinosaurs in real time, and possibly run and hide from them and emerge to tell a hell of a tale…! Well, you can’t see dinosaurs anymore, but you sure can stand in their shoes (or footprints, in this case). Set in red sandstone cliffs, 6 kms from Cable Beach lies a scenic view point with a special treat. If the tide is low, you can see for yourself the evidence that dinosaurs did in fact, walk the Earth once upon a time. The fossilized footprints are over 130 million years old and can only be seen during low tide. If incase, you can’t make it to the rocks out in time, the footprints have been replicated in castes on top of the cliffs for you to mull over it.
- Since the Gantheaume Point is a part of rock formations along the shoreline, the attraction has no opening or closing time. So use your own discretion when planning a visit to the Gantheaume Point.
