About Royal Palace Of Laeken, Brussels
Built in the 18th century, this palace changed hands several times. First it belonged to Maria-Christina of Austria and Albrecht of Saxony-Teschen. Falling into the hands of French Revolutionists, it was taken over by Napoleon, and after he fell, the new Kingdom of the Netherlands. King Leopold I and II both lived here and it is still owned by the Royal family. The architecture is classical, in the style of Louis XVI. It is closed to the public, so the best you can do is admire it from afar, from the Laeken Park.
