Continuing the theme of urinating sculptures is this bronze statue of a dog taking a wee with its hind leg jauntily stuck in the air. Het Zinneke is the correct name of the statue, but who cares? It’s not just there to complete the set of the boy and girl and dog thought. The word ‘zinneke’ actual means a person of mixed origin, symbolised here by a mongrel. This in turn is supposed to represent Brussels’ mixture of peoples. Take an amusing photo.

Who are we to judge this art? Man’s best friend, a peeing dog, a statue in a city full of statues peeing. How can you say you’ve been to Brussels and not have stopped by the Zinneke Pis?
It's a small statue on a busy corner away from all the other "stuff" in Brussels. If I'd known there was nothing else to see or do anywhere near this statute we never would have trekked all the way there to see it. Unless you have time to kill and are bored, save your legs!
Very cute statue. Didn't knew that it was famous. Just randomly took this photo while walking around.
Indeed a much more humorous attraction than the little kid or girl. I wouldn’t actively go searching for it but if you stumble across it a giggle. I guess it depends how long you’ve been in Brussels for and how hungry you are for sight seeing. Can’t say for sure but I’d venture a guess that the dog is a Labrador :)
At least more humorous than the infants but it's not something I'd actively go looking for. Depends on how long you've been in Brussels and how short of things you are to go look at.
