About Inspiration Point, Bryce Canyon National Park
The viewpoint at Inspiration Point consists of three levels. This three level structure provides varied spectacular perspectives of the main amphitheater. From here, visitors look towards the Silent City (near Sunset Point) with its many rows of seemingly frozen hoodoos which are set against the backdrop of Boat Mesa. All who look out from this point are definitely going to be inspired, thanks to the intricacies of the hoodoos and their formation through the erosion. The barren slopes of Inspiration Point consist of a mix of trees including Bristlecone Pines. While they are famous for their venerable ages, younger bristle cones go on to take a very different appearance. They are thin, tall and unique among pines in which the entire lengths of the branches are covered with needles. This also gives them the bushy appearance that earned them the nickname "fox-tail pines." Look carefully as you walk through these barren slopes – otherwise you might just come across a Mountain Short-horned Lizard trying to remain camouflaged!

Inspiration Point, Bryce Canyon National Park Reviews - Write a Review
One word: breathtaking, and like no other. For the best light, come early and watch the sunrise -- it's spectacular and you'll have it all to yourself. Dress warm though, you're high up and temperatures drop during the night!
Truly Beautiful and I understand the namesake! I love Utah.
I chose Inspiration Point to photograph the sunrise over snow covered hoodoo's and canyons. I was not disappointed but having stood at the edge waiting for the sun to show itself I nearly froze myself! I didn't pack any heavy cloths for my trip to Vegas so I was very unprepared for the morning chill as I decided to drive here just for a few pictures. I loved it (once I thawed out) and would like to come back and include some of the other close national parks in the deal.
So glad we asked the park rangers where to go for the best views at Sunset. The angle of the sun hits the canyon best from inspiration point. Don't miss it if you are in search of the iconic Bryce Canyon photos and memories
Great place not to miss!
