Inspiration Point - Review
The viewpoint at Inspiration Point consists of three levels. This three level structure provides varied spectacular perspectives of the main amphitheater. From here, visitors look towards the Silent City (near Sunset Point) with its many rows of seemingly frozen hoodoos which are set against the backdrop of Boat Mesa. All who look out from this point are definitely going to be inspired, thanks to the intricacies of the hoodoos and their formation through the erosion. The barren slopes of Inspiration Point consist of a mix of trees including Bristlecone Pines. While they are famous for their venerable ages, younger bristle cones go on to take a very different appearance. They are thin, tall and unique among pines in which the entire lengths of the branches are covered with needles. This also gives them the bushy appearance that earned them the nickname "fox-tail pines." Look carefully as you walk through these barren slopes – otherwise you might just come across a Mountain Short-horned Lizard trying to remain camouflaged!

Inspiration Point, Bryce Canyon National Park Reviews
I love this place. I chose this place Inspiration Point for sunset time and was very happy with my choice. Panoramic view was fantastic and sunset was unforgettable. And I was back to this point around 1am to make night photography and was happy again. Inspiration place. No doubt.
Inspiration Point is one of the viewpoints along the Scenic Drive in Bryce Canyon National Park. Situated shortly after the turnoff east towards Bryce Viewpoint. The Inspiration point provides a east and northeast view into the Bryce Amphitheatre. While less impressive than what you will see at the next stop - Bryce Viewpoint, Inspiration Point is still very much making time, even if for just few minutes. From here you are very near impressive stacks of hoodoo structures and can see deeply into the amphitheatre. The views are very attractive. Note: There is a Shuttle bus stop at Inspiration Point for those who are not planning to drive their own vehicle. Further, the Rim trail start/stops at Bryce Point if you are interested in walking the Rim Trial to/from the Lodge area, passing by Inspiration along the way. In the end, we liked the close up view of the hoodoo stacks facing north and northeast from the Inspiration Viewpoint. Some fine colour displays were seen at the time of our visit, making for some nice photographs. Note: If you want to visit all of the viewpoints along the Scenic Drive, it is best to start from south to north. As such, drive all the way o Rainbow and Yavimpa Points, then make your way back north, pulling over to the right hand side when you approach a viewpoint which strikes your interest.
A nice section to see great views of Bryce Canyon National Park. This area is significantly less busy than, say, Sunset or Sunrise Point. Additionally, there is a flat, easy hiking trail that connects Inspiration Point to Sunset Point that has great views. There is also ac(free) shuttle stop at Inspiration Point, making getting here easy and stress free.
Incredible views! Path is not difficult or long, yet so worth the walk. Spectacular views into the canyon, and the valley and mountains beyond, both along the trail as well as at the viewpoint at the end of the trail. The grade is only slight.
This is a great spot to watch the sunset without the crowds of Sunset Point - however, if you want the FULL sunset with the main shadow just starting to cover the hoodoos, you need to get there at least 2 hours ahead of sunset. I got there about one hour ahead of sunset and the main shadow had already covered most of the hoodoos!
