Established in 1860, this century and a half old botanical garden has slowly and steadily built a respectable reputation for itself. Though damaged in WWII bombings, the 17.5 hectare garden now has over 10000 species of plants - decoratives, rare species, Mediterranean flowers, Italian flora, roses, iris, and medicinal. The greenhouses, a separate section, house plants from all over the world in climate controlled environments. In addition to tourism, the garden also generates great research interest. It is affiliated to the university, and it's Romanian Brancovenesc-style museum is fascinating. There's also a library of over 9000 volumes on botany.

Lovely awesome staff, very happy to share alcohol they had. Friendly atmosphere. In the evening the staff would maybe put a movie on upstairs and we would all watch a move or just listen to music and chill. Air con in every room, very awesome place to stay. Can't wait to come back
I liked this place a lot. Very good vibes! Small common areas but shared by serious person we had a very good time! Thanks Stefan
We had a pleasant time at the Friends hostel. The location is great and the staff are friendly. The rooms had air-conditioning and the beds were good. The people in are room weren't that great, a lot of older people who stayed in the hostel all day and didn't want the air-conditioning on. But for the rest the hostel was good!
That's such an amazing place! A lot of space, kind staff, quite close to the city center and one of the main train stations. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to stay there long as I needed a place to leave my luggage during the day but they were nice and allowed me to use bathroom, kitchen and lounge zone and leave my things there for a few lei. If I am to visit Bucharest, I'd definitely stay there
Nice people and nice place. Everything is clean and not far from the city center
