The Wren Style Baroque building of the historical Abingdon County Hall Museum has wonderful galleries on display, a nice cafeteria and an excellent view from the top. There is no lift access to the rooftop or the galleries. You need to climb some 120 steps. It is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year from 10 am to 4 pm. The museum's main gallery displays the last MGB Roadster sports car. The Monk's Map of the Thames River, the Anglo-Saxon Abingdon Sword are some of the precious collections of this museum. They have permanent collections and hold temporary exhibitions a number of times throughout the year. Moreover, smaller exhibitions are also held here themed on local history. You will love the collection and the view from the rooftop.
