It doesn’t matter if you are young, old, or even a business tourist, a visit to a serene place like this is sure to rejuvenate anyone and everyone. It is known in the local language as Varosliget. Varosliget has the amazing honor of being the first park in the entire world to be made open to the public.
The City Park is a huge area that covers around 302 acres and is a man made park. It also includes within it Vajdahunyad Castle which was built for an exhibition in 1896 and later reconstructed as an enhancement to the park. There is a Zoo and a circus is hosted inside the park and hence it is perfect for the children. There are also thermal baths which this area is famous for. Families and youngsters alike will enjoy spending time here and explore the area. Make sure to plan an entire day around this place.
Another feature to look out in City Park is Memorial to the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence. It was designed by Dosa Papp Tamas, Emodi-Kiss Tamas, Gyorgy Kata, Horvath Csaba of I-Ypszilon.
