Faust Wine Cellar, Budapest Reviews - Write a Review

  • Good overall experience at our wine tasting with our sommelier being knowledgeable about the wines we were tasting. A well selected bunch of local wines. Great ambience. Quirky waitering. Don't come on an empty stomach. I felt a little rushed but then we had taken 2 hours to drink 9 wines. Time flies when you're having fun.

  • Unforgettable experience. With a capacity for only around 20 people gives it a very intimate and exclusive feeling. The real cellar also makes the experience special. We took the long wine tasting with 8 different wines. We got to taste white, rose, red and a sweet red wine. We learned a lot about Hungarian wine and for a very low cost.

  • Very intimate and unique cellar! It's a hidden gem amongst all the tourist stuff, and the staff are extremely knowledgeable with the fantastic Hungarian wines that are served.

  • The wines presented here were exquisite -- one of the most delightful wine flights I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Anyone who appreciates wine should make this a first stop in Budapest. You can buy bottles to take with you. These are wines that you will wish you could buy by the case.

  • The Google Maps locations for Faust is NOT correct. To get to Faust Wine Cellar go all of the way past the Hilton turn and walk to the end where you will find an elevator on the left. Take it down and turn right and you'll see Faust on the right. 2 tasting options: 6 wines for 20 Euro or 9 wines for 24 or 26 Euro.
