  • The food was great, but we had to wait for a very very long time, more than half an hour in between the courses. The staff was very accommodating though. Stylish decor high class toilets (for a change) and great acoustics inside with cozy live piano and violin music. Prices in the higher end but still cheap as a tourist. Would recommend. • Hungarikum is a must visit! It was recommended to me by a friend who visits Budapest on a regular basis and it was simply amazing! Good quality food with a traditional “like my grandmother would make” feel. It’s a small restaurant with only 30 seats and bookings are essential. We went three days in a row asking if we could be seated and on our third try we got a seat. I think we were just lucky and timing was right, we arrived early on Sunday lunch and were a pax 2 but many walk in’s after us were turned away because they were full. Food: try the chicken crepe and the stuffed cabbage rolls, simply delicious. Everything was superb but if I had to pick the star of the show it was these two dishes. You won’t be disappointed only if you can’t get a table.

  • Great little place with probably no more than 30 seats. The waiters were very helpful and also included a tablet with pictures of the food. Food and servings were excellent. I grabbed the pork knuckle with pickled veg and potatoes.. was outstanding. Definitely recommend everyone swing by and experience the amazing hospitality and even better food. 5 stars

  • Great place! Quite off the main street! Fortunately got in without a reservation! Great choice of hungarian food (with pictures!!), great and polite staff! Lots of extra nibbles, food for two was really a struggle for two grown man! Price was fair as well! In euros we paid 64 for 3 two course meals, with beers as well! Truly truly fantastic! Staff speaks english very well!

  • Amazing Hungarian cuisine with lovely atmosphere. You will feel here almost like at your grandma house. Live music is also great experience.
