Just like the Danube Promenade, the Little Princess Statue is also of utmost importance to Budapest. It is in a way the representation of the artistic Budapest. What is important about this statue is that its inspiration came to the artist very simply.Laszlo Marton was the sculptor of this sign of Budapest. He got inspired by his 6 year old daughter who used to used her bathrobes as mantle and put up acts of being a princess just for fun. Marton saw this one day and immediately had the idea of this sculpture. Over time this sculpture is seen as a representation of Budapest in various places.

Little Princess Statue, Budapest Reviews - Write a Review

  • The statue compliments the view of the castle pretty well. Too bad the little princess isn't interested in the castle though :)

  • Interesting statue. It was the first one to pop up after the regime change.

  • Best spot to get perfect picture of little princess statue and Buda palace

  • So cool. Definitely stop to take a photo!

  • Any pedestrian may notice eye-pleasing bronze statues that add liveliness and humor to the Danube Promenade area. But I personally suggest to pay special attention to the "Kiskirálylány-szobor" (Little Princess Statue) more than the others👑. It is advisable to learn "Her story" prior to visit "Her" 😉. By the way, "Her location" points the Tàban neighborhood of Buda on the opposite side of the River Danube where she had spent her childhood years😇. I'm absolutely sure that "She" will make you smile as she did for the past visitors 😇❤👑.
