Whenever Budapest is described, its bridges are given a special mention for the mystical association that they have with them. Margaret Bridge is another example of the amazing bridges of the city. It is the second oldest bridge in the city that was opened to public access back in history. It is also the second northernmost bridge that connects Buda to Pest over the enchanting Danube. After the World War II, even Margaret Bridge suffered great destruction. IT was closed for years to the public. But restoration work began in the year 2009, when it was closed for public access for almost a year. But now it’s accessible to pedestrians, cars and is the main access point to get to Margaret Island.
