Museum Of Military History - Review
Military History Museum is a complete delight for someone who wants to explore the defense history of Hungary. The artefacts kept here in the Military History museum actually date back to the ones that were used in the revolution of 1848-1849. You are sure to be exploring a lot more in about the defence of that time through the flags, uniforms, weaponries and various military documents that helped the Hungarian military fight various wars. You will also come across various cannons at the entrance that actually were used in the revolution and the rest of the artefacts were used during different wars.

Museum Of Military History, Budapest Reviews
Strange museum. They accept only cash. :-( I was in Budapest only for couple days, so, wouldn't like to withdraw small sum of money with big commission. :-( As far as I remember it's first museum which doesn't accept plastic cards.
There is so much here and the place is very informative. Staff are friendly. Definitely worth your money. It's quiet and peaceful. Please put some more English on the bottom floor though.
A museum located at the corner of Castle District with its focus on the history of warfare and military of Hungary. The first floor has an exhibition dedicated to the first World War with details of the military actions between 1914 and 1918. If you want to escape from the crowd around Matthias Church/Halaszbastya then this is one of the choices you have to indulge yourself a bit on the history side. Facing west outside the museum you can enjoy the panorama of Buda.
Such great exhibitions that I didn't manage to see all floors because they had to close :(
Lots of interesting military artefacts covering Hungarian and European military history from the 19th and 20th Century. A great place to learn about the political and military history of those eras.
