Spinoza Cafe & Restaurant Reviews & Ratings

  • I have been back several times over several years. The service is always good and the food has been spot-on delicious each time. This time we had the beans soup with smoked goose sausage and the beef gulyas which had a flavor of caraway. Both were marvelous.

  • By far the best Hungarian restaurant we visited during our stay. The food was authentic and extremely tasty and the staff were excellent.... Our dinner was so good we had lunch there the very next day. Probably not the cheapest of places in the area but definitely worth a visit. It is also located in a lively area and great for food before going on to the early hours

  • Service was OK, but can't say that waiter was friendly, not rude but also not nice, so we didn't feel welcome. Food was below average. Goose leg was too dry, was almost impossible to eat. Waiter didn't even ask how was the food or if we liked it. Service was included in the bill, though in the menu was written that service is not included. Wouldn't go there again.

  • One of the best restaurants around Budapest! Great food , very friendly and polite staff! There was live piano music played by a gentleman who was fantastic! Excellent choice for dinner!!!

  • Only go if you like Goose Liver - the fattened kind and can enjoy Tokai, fun atmosphere and informal atmosphere. I jest, all the food and drinks are good. Good prices and German loo fittings. Get cheap dental implants nearby. It’s in the old Jewish Ghetto and near the moving memorial to Hungarian Jews, Gypsies and other victims of the Holocaust
