Buenos Aires Museum Of Modern Art Reviews & Ratings

  • Beautiful building with nice and big spaces. The permanent collection it's pretty small but with some interesting pieces. The seasonal or short term exhibitions are beautiful. They are still working on some spaces of the building, mostly because It's an old factory refurbished. It's pretty cheap (u$d 1 entrance) and must be paid in cash. They offer free guided tour every day, check the schedule in the web site (link in Google maps information card).

  • Great museum, nice building. The entrance was 50 pesos for adults. The cafe is really good, with great music, atmosphere and staff. The iced coffee was really good (100p) and the alfajor (40) was tasty and fresh. Would definitely go again. Great wifi and a lot of plugs.

  • This was quite a surprise, I came across by accident but was delighted by my find. Very cheap entrance fee at $30p and small lockers provided so you don't have to carry around any bags. One of the nicest spaces was the Pulso, created by the artist Nicolas Mastraccio and inspired by Zen principle. You must take your shoes off an enter the room which has hypnotic music and art appearing to hang in space. Exhibition is on three floors and there is elevator access to all floors.

  • I love this museum. The MAMBA's permanent collection is great and they are innovating. The cafe is great for coffee, and a quick bite.

  • Meh. Arty shmarty farty party. Part of the floors were closed, I had to go up and down the stairs a couple times because of my skateboard they erroneously let me in with, and then one of the main pieces of art had no artist card identifying who/when/where it was made and what its name was and there was no getting this information by asking about it. Seemed like a major mistake on the curation of the art pieces in the museum to me if you don't have a label for something (maybe if it fell off you should make a new one?), but the security guard just pointed out the artist's signature on the marble sculpture and thought that was enough information. The quality of many of the pieces on display left a lot to be desired as well- I personally thought there was far more talent and thought-provoking art on the buildings in the neighborhood right outside than inside this building.
