Cafe Tortoni, Buenos Aires Reviews
Very, very touristic but still beautiful. My father really enjoyed the churros with chocolate. My coffee was good and the sandwich were okay for the price. The strange feeling you have while eating at the door and feel like you're annoying them though almost got us to go across the street for our coffee. Once inside, the quality service and looks of the place almost erased this strange and uncomfortable 20 minutes wait with the guys peeking out the door anxiously.
If you are on holiday here, you must go here. It is very old and it has the patina to prove it. It also has many works of art on the walls. Come here for a nice coffee in old Buenos Aries, tango etc
There was a short wait to get seated as it is such a popular place. We went around 12pm for an early lunch and maybe waited around 15 or 20 minutes max. We both had sandwiches, coffee and a cake and they all were very nice. We would highly recommend the hot chocolate they do! It is pure chocolate mixed with hot milk and we both agreed we have never had a nicer cup anywhere!
I love this place! From it's well dressed servers, to the architecture, the French feel, this place is great. Food and drink are awesome. Some nights have tango dancing in back room. Truly a timeless experience. Must go place in Buenos Aires.
The experience of a gorgeous Parisian Cafe is a must do in BA. We did it with about a 45 minute wait. Hot chocolate and churros, assorted cheese and coffee. Well worth it.
