Cafe Tortoni, Buenos Aires Reviews
There was a short wait to get seated as it is such a popular place. We went around 12pm for an early lunch and maybe waited around 15 or 20 minutes max. We both had sandwiches, coffee and a cake and they all were very nice. We would highly recommend the hot chocolate they do! It is pure chocolate mixed with hot milk and we both agreed we have never had a nicer cup anywhere!
I love this cafe!! Try the hot chocolate when you are here and if you are feeling brave then go for the spanish thicker hot chocolate, absolutely delish. Its very popular so depending on the time of the day you might have to wait for a table. They also have tango shows every day at 8pm!
Wonderful. There are no words up describe this place. Simply amazing! Good food and the price is just. When you are in BA, you have to visit this place.
The best place in Buenos Aires. This very old cafe is actually a very big place with good wine, great food and fantastic entertainment. There was already a long queue when we arrived. Having made reservation for music and tango performance, we were quickly ushered to our reserved tables, order for food and drinks were quickly taken and served. The waiter actually gives personal attention to each guests and they speak English very well so no problem with communications. The performance was superb and music great. I had the honour of meeting the singer, senor Carlos Rossi and taken a picture with him!
Went in expecting a tourist trap but we were pleasantly surprised with the medialunas, coffee, and hot chocolate. Hot chocolate particularly good. Churros ok, not so special. Good service.
