  • Had a fabulous time. Wish sabres game had some volume, but live band was very good. Wings and pizza were great obviously and the anchor bar draft beer was good as well. Will visit again, feels very historic and homey inside. 1 star off for bartender being a bit snippy with wife, name was Tommy I think. Overall great!

  • Cool place. Was happy to check out the birth place of the chicken wing. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again but if I was in the area or was with someone who had never been I would go again. Wings were good but not bragging rights good. Forgot our fry order but finally got it after we were done eating our wings. Loved the decor. Beer selection could be more of a variety. Overall good place!!

  • This is where it all began! The Anchor Bar. It was our first time visiting this famous establishment. Great atmosphere on Saturday before the college football games started. Wings were very good but the sauce was outstanding. Great, friendly and prompt service. Bought some suicide sauce from the gift shop. Hope to get back here again some day.

  • I loved this place. Was seated very quickly despite it being pretty busy for a weeknight. I loved the ambiance, from the motor cycles to the patches on all of the walls, and even the photos of famous people who’ve eaten there (including Christopher Columbus!). The server was very nice, took my order quickly too. Had the spicy garlic Parmesan and the chocolate cake. The wings were amazing - lightly breaded with just the perfect crunch, moist on-site with meat that fell right off the bone. The wing sauce was the best part - I was scooping up the sauce with my celery sticks. And the blue cheese was perfect. The cake was incredible as well. Definitely the best order of wings I’ve ever had. Planning to take some home from their airport location too.

  • One hour wait on a Saturday night was totally worth it. We had traditional and boneless wings l. Both of them very good. Service was quick and good. The restaurant has a good vibe. We had live Spanish music too. If you are visiting Buffalo or going to Niagara falls, you cannot miss this place.
