Housed in a former church, the Buffalo Religious art Center is dedicated towards preserving religious art from churches that have been forced to shut down. It was formed in 2008 with this sole mission in mind. The St Francis Xavier church is where this institution is located and it is fascinating to see the building so beautifully preserved. The art here provides a unique insight into the art heritage of Buffalo. The diversity of the artworks is simply outstanding. The church is an architectural wonder and the stained glass windows and other artworks are preserved with much attention.

Buffalo Religious Arts Center Reviews & Ratings

  • This is a great facility. Beautifully maintained church, with a collection of beautiful artifacts from other decommissioned churches.

  • You will not find a greater collection of rare and valuable religious art in all of western New York. We in Tonawanda are so fortunate to has this in our neighborhood.
