Bunbury Farmers Market - Review

This is the local fruits and vegetables market. The aim is to provide the citizens with both value and freshness. Majority of the produce that is sold here is grownn by the local farmers. Over 150 local growers are regular suppliers. There are no distribution centres or cold storage facilities. The produce comes straight from the market, without the involvement of the middle-man. This place is lively and full of local people. A visit here can capture the spirit of Bunbury’s every-day life. Highlights include:

  • We happily travel 2+ hrs a fortnight to do our fresh produce and meat shopping. The produce is all locally sourced and much tastier than regular supermarkets. The staff are all too happy to assist where they can, and even offer tasting tables around each corner. Don't forget to grab a fantastic coffee on your way out (or in or both!)

  • Love, love, love this place. Cannot praise it enough! Amazing produce, fresh and locally sourced. Great meals, tastings throughout the store as well as juice bar, deli, butcher, bakery and florist. Fantastic customer service!

  • Bunbury market is a large market. It has a wide range of local fruit and vegetables, there is also a good range of meats, cheese and honey. It is right on the Forest Highway so you can nick down from Perth. There is also a large convenient car park available.

  • Always fresh and way better than the supermarkets. Very yummy food. Highly recommend the Vanilla slice. Warning getting in and out of the place is a nightmare though.

  • the Ikea of supermarkets... but with local produce! its a 'mans' way of shopping, going past every aisle, I love it. Only complaint is it needs to be open later hours, ablest on a Friday night when people are driving down south, I think everyone would buy a weekends worth of food there if they did. They close at 6:30pm, need to stay open till 8pm on Fridays for good and Thursday of long weekends. I would think they would make a killing!
