Belongil Beach is a beautiful beach situated north of Belongil Creek. It stretches out for quite a distance, giving you plenty of space to run or take a long leisurely stroll by the sea. The beach is dog friendly and family friendly making it a must visit beach in Byron Bay. The beach is legally clothing-optional and it is common to find a mix of both nude and clothed sunbathers lazing on the beach. This is a more peaceful beach than the more touristy and busy Main Beach.

Belongil Beach Reviews & Ratings
When visiting Byron Bay a trip to the beach is a must but if like me you are not excited about the idea of squeezing yourself in among the crowds on the main beach then all you have to do is turn left at the beachfront carpark and walk 20 metres to Belongil Beach and most days it will have only 10% of the crowds at the other beaches, it has the same lovely long wide white sandy beach and a bit of personal space to enjoy it.
Wow busy town and beach. It is definatly a place you need to come to early in the morning to secure parking for the day. Stunning views. For the swimmers that like to be more relaxed there is a public pool near the beach. Easy enough to take a break in one of the local businesses near buy to grab a bite to eat. Lovely laid back town with the surfy vibe.
Terrible sand but picturesque beach and nice and quiet with pub across the road
Belongil Beach, north of the carpark - beautiful (particularly at sunset!).
Very Nice. ☺😊😀
