  • For a "5-star" hotel, this place leaves a lot to be desired. It feels like I have a hotel room in a construction site, which I do and I wasn't aware this is the case. Besides the construction, the check-in experience is awful. I'm sitting in a hot, stuffy room crowded with holiday goers, have to listen to someone trying to sell me holiday packages. The quality of the room is passable, although it doesn't have a deck or look out over the ocean (this was my fault when I booked the room). The room isn't equipped with basics like a bottle opener or wine glasses. Given that this place is trying to pass as a 4/5 star location, I would not recommend it. On the positive side, the food is decent and the infinity pool and beach area is nice (if you like loud house music). The staff is helpful but the sales people are not. They refunded my incidentals and breakfast to make up for the experience, which is nice.

  • We have been staying at Cabovillas Beach Resort for 15 years. We returned yesterday after 10 days. Before I left home I read some negative reviews. When I arrived on Dec 29, what I found was the same wonderful people who greet and treat you like family. We returned after a year and they know our names, know we are from Seattle, They could not do enough to make our stay perfect. Yes there is some major construction going on however it did not seem noisy or dusty during our stay. The food was very good but what I really must say is I have never stayed anywhere with such wonderful people. Francisco, Lorenzo, Immanual, Moises, Michel who runs the beach. The maid service was also perfect. 5 stars all the way. Oh and we walk everywhere. Best location unless you want to drive in Cabo or take pricey cabs.

  • construction noise during day was loud going on for next 18 months. Room was very nice , we had a two bedroom. Access to room was constantly blocked or re routed to get to the room. Site is close to downtown area and 3-4 blocks down the steep hill to the Main Marina and if you are in good health walks to and from take 10-5 minutes. Can walk around the beach front to the main terminal , carry your shoes to avoid sand in them forever. House keeping did a great job cleaning and keep room habitable.

  • We really like this resort. Just finished our third Christmas vacation here and are looking forward to next year. Truly attentive staff and all of the amenities we love.

  • Fabulous location, beautiful suites, amazing food and a very friendly and attentive staff. The hotel is under construction but it didn't get in our way of having a fun time and the noise was minimal. The only downside is the optional 90 minute (which really took almost 3 hours) buy in presentation. Our tour guide Nicole was wonderful but then she handed us off to a "closer" and we felt like she was trying to sell us a used car. When we said no, she dismissed us like yesterday's trash. We realize she was just doing her job, but she could use a little more finesse.
