Cabo Villas Beach Resort & Spa, Cabo San Lucas Reviews

  • Fabulous location, beautiful suites, amazing food and a very friendly and attentive staff. The hotel is under construction but it didn't get in our way of having a fun time and the noise was minimal. The only downside is the optional 90 minute (which really took almost 3 hours) buy in presentation. Our tour guide Nicole was wonderful but then she handed us off to a "closer" and we felt like she was trying to sell us a used car. When we said no, she dismissed us like yesterday's trash. We realize she was just doing her job, but she could use a little more finesse.

  • We love this spot. The best, most centrally located property. Walkable to everything. And new great restaurants/bars are popping up all around. The staff is amazing. Thank you specifically to Jazzie in concierge for taking such good care of us, Hugo in activities for keeping us entertained by the pool and his tequila tasting knowledge. We can't wait to come back and see all the updates with the renovation!

  • This stay was a complimentary stay due to a horrible room we received during our Honeymoon last year. We decided to give it another shot for our anniversary, it started well...the staff was great and put rose petals on our bed...very nice touch! From there, it went downhill quick. I had no hot water in my shower or sink....I tried to call but the phone didn't work so I had to walk down to the office to advise them of the problem. Came back later and the phone was working...The next morning, we got up to take a shower and still no hot water...called to get it fixed (second request). Monday, got up to take a shower and you guessed it...still no hot water...called the front desk again and requested a new room, they assured me they would send someone up to fix it...Monday night, went in to take a shower and it worked fine now. Pool side bar service was horrible...had to wait 20-30 minutes to get someone to come by and take an order, most of the time I had to walk up to get a drink at the bar. The swim up bar wasn't working, they claimed they didn't have enough staff to man the swim up bar so we had to get out of the pool to get drinks. But the beach side had more than enough people working there, they'd check on you every 5 minutes. I love the location but not sure whats going on with their service, its obviously declining over the last 4 years I've stayed there

  • This beach front resort is the best. The staff, service, cleaningness, location was perfect. You could walk (which is next door) to mango deck & the office restaurants which are a must do during your stay. Cabo villa even has Starbucks Coffee next to pool area. The pink beach lounges are comfy & big. Make sure to reserve one a head of time. We loved our room which has a kitchen, private room, couch that sleeps for 2, 2 bathrooms, jacuzzi (not all rooms had it tho), & a sort of a private pool for the rooms in that area we where at. We hope in future as we continue our tradition of coming back to Cabo every summer that we get to stay in the same room 210. Thank you Cabo villa for making our stay an awesome one.

  • A week prior to our arrival I reached out to the hotel and provided all our names and merely asked to have adjoining rooms as we had family with us. Upon arrival to the resort we were given a choice of a side wall view or an ocean view room if we did the “sales tour”. 2 hours later after we gave our personal information for the second time, we decided to take the tour so our family wouldn’t be spread apart and we didn’t have to face a wall from our patio. (2 Other guests shared their story of this same tactic to get guests to their sales tour) The following day we took the tour (3 hours when it was labeled 1.5) and decided it wasn’t right for us. No handshake from the salespeople, no “I’m sorry enjoy your stay”, nothing but a cold goodbye. My wife was really disappointed not only for our treatment that day but the similar treatment of our guests that came to visit us on her birthday. They were ID’d and told we had to come get them at the front desk. From that day on the staff seemed to treat us differently. We spent quite a bit of money there and after all was said and done no one said a much as a goodbye or thank you for your stay with us. Nothing. Such a disappointment for what was supposed to be a birthday celebration with our family. I recommend the location for this resort, the food was good, and there were good people that were helpful but I can only give 2 stars for a resort that treats potential customers the way we were treated. I have been visiting Cabo for 20+ years and left Cabo Villas disappointed for the first time ever. We were really considering joining their membership until we were mistreated.
