Paronella Park - Review
It is a popular tourist castle located near Mena Creek Falls, 120 kilometers south of Cairns. It was built by Jose Paronella in 1930. His dream was to build a castle between the woods and thus, he decided to build this place. The castle is surrounded by picnic areas near the falls, tennis court, bridges and a tunnel, adorned by beautiful dense tropical rainforest.

Paronella Park, Cairns Reviews
Been living in Mission Beach for a whole now but have only just made it to this gorgeous place! Greeter Mark was lovely, as were the other staff and my tour guide Ben. Fabulous!! Can't wait to come back for the night tour... and another day as my good camera died after one photo! Lucky for camera phones....
U won’t regret for visiting there！ So nice to have tour guide to tell the story for you. My guide is called Ah Fun, a girl can speak both cantonese and Mandarin. Very informative and She can make the story very touching and inspiring. She also helps to us to take pics. I seldom to write the reviews but I do this time. You will understand what means of “The dream continues...” 阿Fun講故事好好聽👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This is sensational. A lot of it may be appearing a bit dilapidated, but that is part of the charm. It adds to the atmosphere. And visiting certainly helps with the well worthwhile conservation efforts. Apart from that the Cafe makes a great ice coffee and some wonderful other snacks. The tours are great sources of information.
I spent an amaaazing time with my husband at Paronella Park!! By the time we arrived we were welcomed by the owner of the park who is a lovely and kind person. As soon as we got in we felt that special energy and how nature blessed everything. We've done the tour with the lovely guide Mai and she explained to us all the history involved in each part of the park with a lot of passion. It's impossible not to fall in love for all the effort done by Jose and his family to turn that place into a sanctuary. Going to Paronella Park is definitely an fulfilling experience! Grateful for the good time we spent there =)
A magic place with so much history behind it. The story of Paronella Park is absolutely fascinating. Built by one man, years ahead of his time. A hydro plant harnesses the waterfall and there are beautiful houses and structures set among beautiful tropical gardens. Now heritage listed with ongoing restructuring and rebuilding, this wonderful place is not to be missed.
