Skyrail Rainforest Cableway - Review

It is world’s first cable car in environmental tourism. A trip in the glass floor Diamond View Gondolas of Skyrail gives you a remarkable experience over Australia’s top attractions like tropical rainforest. The cable car will take you above the forest and will descend into the canopy layers and enter into the heart of the forest. You can combine the cable car trip with other attractions like Kuranda Scenic railway for a half day or full day tour.

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, Cairns Reviews

  • Definitely a great experience! My family and I had a great time. We felt safe and were very happy to ride this. Staffs were friendly and really gave us some fun facts. Even when I felt nervous, the staffs assured us that it was totally safe. There are good stops and view every time we go to certain places. You definitely need to visit this place when you're in Cairns. One of the great tourist attractions ever!

  • Awesome experience, nice and high and pretty quick, awesome views and awesome staff. Didn't see any fresh water crocodiles but maybe next time. The butterfly house is a good idea to have a look and get the free tour well worth it. Picture of the waterfall and one of the butterflies

  • We did it as it is the main attraction in Cairns. We should have probably done it before going to Cape Tribulation as it took the shine out of it. Still, it was a good scenic experience. It is possible to simply drive up there. But the driver can not enjoy the scenic view. So this one is far more relaxing and we'll worth the money you spend. It has two stops before the final destination. Both places, you get down and go around short nature trail. Well worth the effort. It is the journey that is more important than the destination. Allow a lot of time to relax in Kurranda village and come back by train.

  • Would recommend this travel experience. It’s a good half day trip. The views are great, comfortable cabin. The best part was exploring Kuranda Village at the end of the line. Lots of little shops / markets and food and coffee options. A little bit pricey but worth it overall.

  • What a cool experience! The Ranger Tour at the first stop was A+ Shout out to Keely for all the info! View of the falls was even better than from the train and the museum-like area under the stop was very interesting and set up well
