  • An amazing place, with historical furniture and an artistic sense. Simple , yet royal. The guide was of a great help to get good information. Definitely go, and take your kids along. Proud to have such a place to visit

  • Amazing and must see. You need to read about him and also connected to Ibn Tulun Mosque. Recommended.

  • There is a lot of history to see and hear about, it is a peaceful place gives you a lot of satisfaction. Words can't describe it it is just beautiful

  • This is a great museum and there are a lot of things you can see this museum. Even though you would be tired from visiting the next door Ibn Tulun Mosque I would highly recommend seeing this place. You can do it at your own pace and there are many rooms in this museum to see and each have their unique things to see. If you have the Cairo pass then you don't pay the entry fee but you will have to pay to take photos. If our dont want to pay for the photo pass just don't take photos at the ground level and the levels above are fine. There are museum care takers who will show and explain the different rooms and best to pay them a little token upfront. James Bond's Spy Who Loved Me was shot in one of the terraces. There is also a secret hidden room which is impossible to find unless the caretakers show it to you. Please don't miss and go at your own pace, and there are stairs to climb to visit each room.

  • One of my favourite places in Cairo, such a hidden gem! It is an oasis of serenity in this megalopolis chaos! Apparently the guided visit is short, so DYI ! I love the architecture, the artifacts, the garden and the book/gifts shop. The " tales of the kritlia" book is great! The house had been associated to some interesting fairy tales:)
