What a great place. One of the 7 wonders of the world. It was a dream come true. Visit inside the pyramids through tunnels is another mesmerizing experience. When you get close to the pyramids you feel the magnanimity of them. What a great marvel of construction it is. 100,000 labours worked day and night for years to make it a symbol of strength which would bear the ups and downs for 4500 years to stand tall today. Loved it...
Incredible experience, visit without a doubt. Try to visit early in the morning. It is not to far away from the city. It was one of mine and wife's wish to visit this place and we did it... Do visit inside the tomb, There are three pyramids of the Queens of Cheops and you can go inside the one in the middle and it is free. It was worth every penny to visit the site of Giza.
Pyramids of Giza We sometimes overlook how extraordinary the Pyramids of Giza are because the image of them is commonplace today. The work of thousands and thousands of laborers, the Pyramids and the Sphinx at Giza is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and they were known to the ancients as a Wonder of the World. The Giza Complex just outside Cairo on the fringes of the Libyan Desert is sublime and mysterious, built to house the dead pharaohs and all the items they would need to rule the afterlife.
This is what brought me to Cairo and I wasn't let down at all, the scale and majesty is everything you are told. Just trying to imagine the engineering that went into these thousands of years ago is impressive. I had a patient and calm Camel to ride but keep in mind they are different to horses (at least my pampered pet). The sphinx was amazing too and I couldn't tell if the theory that the head was re-carved from a lion's is true. Great impression on the whole.
No photos could ever describe the experience of visiting the pyramid for yourself. It’s a unique sight that everyone should see for themselves. I recommend riding a camel and to see as much in the pyramids as much as possible. One of the wonders of the world lives up to the expectations.
