I've never been to the Marcus ice cream shop on 17th but I came across a jar of their ice cream at the Italian Center Shop. I ate the whole jar in one sitting. I had the oatmeal cookie dough. It was incredible. Honest to God it was the best ice cream I have ever had. It was so good I didn't even tell my kids about it and didn't have to share. Can't wait to try other flavors.
I really enjoyed my experience! The ice cream was very tasty and you could tell it was high quality. There was a long line that moved relatively quickly and when inside I didn't feel rushed. I am planning to go back for more delicious ice cream 😄
The ice cream is really good. Went there once and the customer service is absolutely horrendous. Ordered a double scoop in a cup, which should be $7 (if I remember correctly) and paid with a 10 dollar bill. Didn't get change back so I asked the cashier why, thinking she just forgot because it was really busy. She told me it was the cost for the cup... Scoured the board looking for this extra cost and couldn't find it. The place was really busy so there was no way to discuss this with anyone there without inconveniencing others. Left upset of their "hidden" costs. Later, I find out while talking with friends that there is no cost for the cup... Nobody else has had to pay this "hidden" cost for a cup before, so I basically got stolen from. Was not interested in returning due to the hidden costs. Definitely not interested now knowing that it wasn't a hidden cost but straight up thievery.
One of my favourite places for ice cream. They have many interesting flavours, like peach jalapeños. Sometimes they might not have the flavour you tried before though, so be prepared to try something new. I especially liked the espresso flavour, but they didn't have it this time; I settled for matcha vanilla. It may seem a bit pricey, but they are quite generous with their scoops. Pictured is a single scoop cone, which I found very satisfying. One caveat, they're super popular so be prepared to wait a bit for your treat during peak hours.
I love the ice cream flavour selections here! My fav is earl grey when they have it available. Second best to me is the lemon curd blueberry. I've tried a few sundaes, but they aren't my favourite. Service is great.
