Monogram Coffee, Calgary Reviews
Good coffee, good seating and very good service. Monogram has a really nice chic and modern vibe and it’s a nice place to go to for a quick coffee after lunch. This location does tend to get a little crowded since a lot of corporate offices are literally on top of and around it.
Beautiful cafe. Very friendly staff. Delicious and unique artisan beverages. Very much enjoyed a coffee date with my wife - loved the cappuccino!
I thought the coffee amazing. I usually get almond milk lattes and they make their own almond / cashsew milk there. I would prefer just almond milk or at least have the choice for that. Other than that you can’t go wrong
It was really overpriced for what I bought. 8 dollars for a drip coffee and a traditional cappuccino is kind of ridiculous. And if I’m honest, my drip coffee was pretty terrible. So much so that I threw it in the garbage. The service was very good and the atmosphere was nice.
I’m usually a BIG fan of monogram - and their other locations are the best coffee in the city. My visit today was a bit surprising though. I walked in to a half empty shop, with no one waiting at the til. I ordered a cappuccino and paid the premium you pay for quality coffee. At this point the barista didn’t even grind and pull my espresso shot like any respectable shop would. Instead she walked over to the machine and grab one of two shots that had been pre-pulled a while ago and were just sitting there and put it in a cup. Anyone who knows espresso knows freshness is measure in seconds - especially at a quality coffee shop. I was in the shop for 15 mins and only one other person walked in - so too busy was no excuse. Very surprised that a place of this caliber that charges a premium for coffee would do this.
