Prince's Island Park - Review
Calgary’s own version of Central Park, the locals refer to Prince’s Island Park as an urban oasis. Located in Downtown Calgary, you need to cross the bridge to gain access to this park. If you’re traveling with children, get them here for an evening of running around, tossing around Frisbees or just lounging about in the greenery. Be careful of the river though; swimming is not advised and the currents are strong!

Prince's Island Park, Calgary Reviews
We just love this park. Just a few blocks walk from the C Train in Calgary Downtown. This is a beautiful park on a small island with the Bow River flowing right beside it. The park has lots of picnic area, green patches, huge trees, benches by the flowing river where one can watch the ducks swim and enjoy the beautiful view by the river. The park also has a big children's play area with swings, slides, jungle gym and other play things. During spring the park has beautiful flowers all over the place. One can easily spend 2-3 hours here with kids.
It’s a good place in the middle of the city to walk and relax, it has great landscapes.. I recommend to search for a 2-3 hours free parking lot in case you are a tourist, otherwise the bus is always an option. There are a coffee house in the middle of the park. A must see for a relaxing day in Calgary
Very nice public park established on a small man made island in Calgary downtown. Has a stage and play area. It has a nice river cafe as well. Nice place to hang out with family and friends. There are covered picnic areas as well.
Beautiful park just off of Eau Claire, great place to go fly a frisbee or have a picnic with family. There is Shakespeare in the park all summer and various children's jungle gyms. The River cafe is delicious but pretty expensive. If you go during folk fest it has amazing food as well.
Great park. Caught some of the Shakespeare festival and played at the playground for a few hours. Plenty of shade and activities to keep my kids entertained. It is next to the river so watch you little ones don't wander into the trees.
