Mananchira Square - Review

Encircling the Mananchira pond in Calicut is the beautiful area called the Mananchira Square. The pond, which has a historical significance, was built in the 14th Century by the feudal king Mana Vikrama as a bathing pool. The Square is a park complex that was built in 1994, and was originally known as the Mananchira Midamanam (playground). The playground has now been converted to a pleasant arcadia complete with shrubs, trees, sculptures and an artificial hill. Visitors can witness live performances in the open-air theatre and enjoy the spectacular musical fountain here. This Square is an architectural delight located right in the heart of Kozhikode district and it promises to wow the visitors with its charm.

  • This are is in heart of Kozhikode in Kerala. This is a central place between the railway station and bus stands. This hotel is s close to the famous SM Street. There is a small park and a big water body like a temple tank there. I visited this place in the afternoon where I saw lot of people taking rest in shades in the garden. With the water body around it gives relief to those who work in the outdoor.

  • Mananchira Square is one of the beautiful place to visit in calicut. Mananchira Square has a splendid and a traditional architectural design. Green grass carpeted over the area near the royal pool. Mananchira Square has an open ground with a musical fountain.  The best thing is that mananchira is at the heart of the city with easy access.

  • It is a very good and big Park in the heart of Kozhikode city. It have a very good and cool atmosphere. Have a very big place for playing for kids and others. It have a small lake, but useless. And also the park have some benches and others for sitting for the public, but you cannot use that as it is already filled with people sleeping over there. I felt shame for seeing this park like this. I hope our people will change in the coming days. There is no shelters if there is a rain.

  • It was a great place and beautiful scenery. Everything is fine and neat. Although you will find some difficulties but the final destination is worth it. One must go there. We should apply the teachings of Love for all Hatred for None. Only Love for all Hatred for None can save this world. Love for all Hatred for None

  • Good place to spend leisure time with friends and family To sit around and walk in the heart of the city after our food and shoping in nearby shops and restaurants, especially the sm Street which is beside the ground It's a lovely place for couples as well
