  • The famous great statue of the beloved dog, Balto. He has an inspiring story that's why he's a hero.

  • I enjoyed coming to see the Balto statue as I had watched the movie when I was young with my family. My Mom loved Balto and his story too, so the statue made my family happy.

  • Cool statue of an American Hero. Parents were letting their children climb all over this monument which seemed to dishonor his legacy of service, but maybe he would have been okay with it since he always thought of others. Cool story and a part of history.

  • Had waited a long time to finally have the same moment the classic movie Balto ended with. When the little girl finally finds the statue of Balto in Central Park that her grandma had always talked about. Walking up to that statue - although I’m allergic to dogs - gave me the chills... yes, it was the middle of early winter... so that may have been the actual source of goosebumps. But either way. I think we all need a moment similar to Miriam Margoyles... “thank you Balto, would’ve been lost without you”

  • really loved seeing this beautiful Statue of Balto I new it was in central park and when me and my wife were in the park just had to see this in person
