Stayed here for a wedding. Noisy and brightly lit rooms at night. The room we stayed in was not in the main house and the rooms are rather basic and cold. Try to stay in the main house if you can.
The allocation of rooms are a bit awkward, some rooms are in the main building and some are in a near by one, the receptionist had to walk with me all the way there to show me the room which was very nice of her. breakfast timing isn't design for business travellers (Not early enough) but I was told a continental will be available from 06:30 but when I went to the breakfast are there was no hot water for tea/coffee
A nice old house. Went to a wedding here and the staff were lovely. The room we had was nice and they even had a billiards room we could use.
Truly the worst hotel experience ever! Dirty, uncomfortable, cold, unfriendly, no food or drink service. Ejected into the car park by the pompous pseudo-aristocratic manager after complaining about being insulted by staff. This place needs to be avoided at all costs! An absolutely amazing wedding venue. Quirky, intimate and friendly - it was a real talking point among the guests! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect day. Gorgeous rooms as well, and plenty of garden for guests to wander around and drink champagne. Very highly recommended!
