The Canton Bend United Methodist Church congregation was organized on December 12, 1897, while the building was erected beside the old cemetery during the years of 1912 and 1913. The site chosen for the building was very near to the location of an older church, the Cumberland Presbyterian of Canton, whose organization dated from the 1830s. However, that Church was disbanded, and its building was torn down. While you are in Alabama, you can visit the Church to offer prayers and take part in the Bible study. Worship services are held at 9:00 am on 2nd Sunday of the month and at 11:00 am on the 4th Sunday of the month. A Bible Study is held every Monday at 6 pm.
