Time for some historical learning in Cameron! Visit the Time Tunnel museum in order to take a plunge into the world of past with a vintage collection of memorabilia and historic exhibits. Interestingly, this collection does not belong to any organisation but to a Cameron local who is struck with a desire to preserve history. From colonial era to years after independence, this museum showcases everything that belongs to Cameron islands. So, as you just walk through it, you will see a classic pubhouse, Chinese coffee shop ('Kopitiam'), traditional hair saloon, Peranakan dressing room and even an old kitchen, kept in original form with cans and utensils of extinct brands. Apart from that, you will also get to know about the famous personalities of Cameron such as the legendary Thai silk trader Jim Thompson, who disappeared mysteriously from the Cameron Highlands in 1967; Singapore's first Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, and P. Ramlee, a well-known musician.
