Kelp and flee infested postage stamp sized beach when the tide is low, NO beach when the tide is high. Dilapidated staircase, no bathroom, no fresh water and little to no parking on weekends or any summertime day. Either crowded with locals or kooks, either way, you aren't catching anything without someone dropping in on you or dinging your board. Better beaches north and south of this place. Find another beach and have a good beaxh day!
Beach is very small and the water is full of seaweed. If you want a nice beach go a little North to tamarack
Great place for surfing. Really nice waves!
Amazing tide pools if you go when the tide is out.
This is a great North county beach. Good little break for surfing, decent parking along the street, and stairs make access much easier. As beaches go in North county SD, there are better with easier access. In fact, there really isn't much beach at high tide, and it can get full of seaweed. But it's when the tide are low that the real gem off Terra Mar emerges-- the tide pools. Lots of cool sea life to discover: anemones, crabs, baby lobsters, little fish, shrimp, octopuses, brittle starts, and more! Time your visit with a winter super moon and your in for a treat! Please respect the rules, though, and take only pictures and limit how much you handle the wee beasties.
