Brazil is home to over 35000 species of butterflies; this garden brings together just 35 of these. This 500 metres square preserve was opened based on three driving missions – education, recreations and environmental awareness. Before you can wander among these fluttering wonders, you’ll be treated to an educational video that covers their metamorphoses, the impact of butterflies in nature, and the guidelines for visiting the park. Though the attraction is designed to appeal to children, adults tend to be fairly engaged, especially couples. Be wary that you visit only on a sunny day though; butterflies don’t come out on cloudy days. For such a short visit, though, some consider the attraction to be pricey.
