Cockington Green Gardens, Canberra Reviews
The miniature garden was very interesting and there were many photo ops. Overall, it was quite an amazing place due to the memorable, petite figures and houses in there. There were also multiple snippets of humour in tiny places for keen eyes. This is a great place for anyone to go to, with a bug or small group. However, it can be quite cold so a jacket and beanie will be required.
I remember this place when I was a little boy and it was great to take my kids to experience the same joy I did 38 years later! This place is magical. There are lots of little minature displays and manicured gardens. Its very lush, green and peaceful. The kids loved activating the trains and watching them go around the tracks. The kids train ride was also a great thrill for the kids.
Miniature of Australian and International a great place to hang out with family and friends. They have bbq and picnic area. Nice cafe, toilet is clean, baby change area is available. Family pack including train ride is $67 for 2 adults and 2 kids. The single price is $22.50 including train ride. Train ride is recommended as you can see the whole place. Time spent estimated around 1.5 hour without sitting down to have a break/coffee but with lots of photos taken!
Great stop over if you are in Canberra. Kids loved walking around the grounds. Not much has changed since I went as a kid, so some figures could do with a refresh.
Come with no expectations, leave filled with joy. Such a cool little piece on of Canberra; iconic, fun and must for all! Note: if you're looking to hype this one up in comparison to the nearby dinasour museum, refer to its secret name... The Land of the GIANTS!
