  • Great gallery with easy access and free entry. Wide collection of art from the iconic Blue Poles to extensive Indigenous and Asian art collections. Nice cafe on site and easy parking for a fee. Well worth a visit.

  • Pretty good collection. You can enjoy even if you're not an art afficiando. Allow 3-4 hours. Signposting to various areas of the gallery seemed lacking, but descriptions of the artworks were detailed enough. The American Masters series very enjoyable and great to see some Warhol there. "Blue Poles" is, of course, a highlight. I would recommend joining one of the hourly guided tours to help make sense of things. All-in-all a great way to see some lovely artworks.

  • We took a free guided tour with Robyn and I highly recommend this. After the hour long tour (ours started outside, looking at sculpture which we would have missed otherwise) you can then go back to places you want to spend more time in. The indigenous Australian art is their forte I think and it’s an amazing collection.

  • A must-see attraction on the Canberra circuit; and a must-see many times due to the changing displays and exhibitions. A bit wearying and cold on the old feet so wear thick socks and comfortable shoes. Why do I feel that I'm somehow doing something naughty when I take a photo of a Kandinsky and a Rothko?

  • Simply amazing gallery, with a great collection of works from both Australian and international artists. You will find a wide selection of famous names and artworks as well as a diverse range of curated galleries from a variety of styles and locations. The sculpture garden is incredible and staff are Corryong and helpful. Free entry (though there is a small rate on parking) is the icing on the cake. Easily the best collection in the country.
