Club Med Cancún Yucatán, Cancun Reviews - Write a Review
Absolutely amazing place with blue seas and lots of fun activities. The staff is always amazingly friendly and the food and drink is abundant and fantastic. I only had 2 issues: on rainy days when we were watching TV the only 2 English channels were very boring (one plays the same movie on a loop for a straight week) and that the TV's standby light was so bright was so bright it made it difficult to sleep. What I appreciate about this place though is they make a real honest effort to make you comfortable and entertained, they don't try to over plan your day for you, and they don't monitor you like a child. I will be coming back!
Beautiful resort. Amazing staff. Specialty premium drinks are amazing. The bar staff and the rest of the GO's and GE's make you feel at home. Definitely coming back here soon.
Great and amazing place. A lot of activities, very good service and great food. One thing that important to know! if you are fan of water ski than the water ski in Cancun is taking place in the lagoon while you can see from time to time alligators in the lagoon. The Club Med team are aware of that and they claim it is safe to do the water ski in the lagoon. Apart from the above issue all activities are amazing: Trapeze, Saling, amazing parties etc.
I have so much to say about this place. I would like to start off with a few negative experiences I had. When we first arrived, the staff took our luggage for us, which was great. They said they would take it up to our room for us shortly. We waited in hour in our rooms waiting until we had to call and ask for our luggage. They gave it to us shortly after that. Another problem I had, was the walls are thin. You can hear your neighbor making noise. It has to be loud or next to the wall in all fairness though. So much of what was there to offer at Club Med makes up so much for my minor negative experiences. I would like to talk about the staff. They were very friendly and wanted to converse with you if you were sitting down. They are even nicer if you speak Spanish as well. I would like to name some staff that were very noteworthy: Edwin was a fellow monitor of the hotel. He would enjoy our company and even sit down with us to have a meal if you invited him. The waiters were very attentive and nice. Orlando and Maria were the names of the two who made this experience very wonderful. Our hotel maid Oralia was very good at her job. She always put loose valuables in a safe place if you left them out. She always put our blankets and other bed comforts in a very organized way and overall, she just did a great job. I would like to talk about their food. The restaurant I went to was located next to ping pong tables and the outdoor pool. This was an all inclusive buffet. They cook the food in front of you and serve it onto a buffet plate for you to pick up. They had several great varieties ranging from American, Italian, Mexican, and Seafood. The food was terrific. Their desserts section was very noteworthy. Several desserts neatly arranged and looking appetizing. Overall, the food was spectacular. The drinks were all inclusive. They even made virgin drinks in case a younger one wanted something fancy to drink. I must mention the beaches. I would advise moving more to the left for a better experience when swimming. The more you move to the right, the more seaweed there is and it's very odorous. I will mention that there is hotel staff out there all day everyday making all the effort to minimize the seaweed. Which is uncommon at some hotels. There is parasailing if you find it. It's really easy to find. It costs extra but it's worth your money and the boaters do a very responsible job of strapping you in. There are snorkeling ranges located on the rockier side of the beach. They offer you sanitized snorkels, flippers, life vest, and masks. It's fun and worth your time. Other activities they have here in case that's not enough is: Archery, organized volleyball, tennis, basketball, and group activities. They have massages there that cost extra but it's worth it. They really make an effort to make the experience a wonderful one. Overall, this is one of the best hotels I've ever gone to and I am definitely returning. I look forward to it.
Great entertainment, awesome amenities and kids club but the food is average which is surprising for a French manage and run resort!
