Coco Bongo - Review

Coco Bongo is the most happening club in the town. Well known for its grand shows and lively music, this club is the epitome of fun in Punta Cana. Hugely popular and always crowded, the disco hosts some entertaining performances that add to the glory of the night. Once you’re inside, you will forget the world that you’ve left outside and slip into a trance because of the electrifying ambiance of this place. One word of advice: get in early if you want a spot to sit. This is more than just an average nightclub - it is a Las Vegas style show in a disco-like environment. The ultimate feature of this is the audio visual that incorporates giant screens, the latest music as well as the favorites from the 60's, 70's and more.

Coco Bongo, Cancun Reviews

  • OMG!!!! What an amazing club - a total wow!!!!!!! This club was like one of the best dance places I have been to in a very long time! The club has an unlimited house drinks! Cost us US$35/- There is also a premium drink package! Which I think was for US$85/- There was thousands of people! Lots of security so no one messing around with anyone! I would recommend this club over and over again to anyone! The shows / live performance every now and then keep one so entertained!

  • July 6th 2018 - Anybody giving less than 4 stars shouldn't even go anywhere near this place so you don't get the stick up your A$$ shoved all the way in. I am 50 and took my 18 year old daughter to this place as her first night club experience. It was the best time of her life and pretty close to mine! What a show and what a party! Great show for the price with drinks included. Order beer and shots and stay next to a table because it is crowded, but that is part of the fun! If you didn't like this place, get back on your scooter and go back to the buffet!

  • If you do it right, Coco Bongo will be the funnest night you’ve ever had. I went with a group of 10 friends on a Sunday and just got the general $80 ticket that includes the open bar. After reading the one and two star reviews I can see how people rated it so low and I think my group ended up lucking out on our experience, so I’ll try to give some advice for anyone looking to go. Don’t get the fruity drinks, if you stick to beer and shots you’re guaranteed a good amount of alcohol. Try to go early, my group waited in line since 9:40pm and it opened at 10:30pm, but we got a good area to stand next to the bottom floor stage which is where you want to be because the stage turns into a bar throughout the night. I thought the performances were amazing and very entertaining, and they do a good job of interacting with the crowd. If you’re a girl, get up on stage with your friends when they open it, it’s a lot less crowded. I didn’t have any expectations going in and I ended up having a blast!

  • This place is basically an unrefined Cirque Du Soleil impressionist show. Performances of the acrobats were great but singing and dancing shows were lacking quality and originality as they copied stars and movie themes. Club is to jam packed with people so you can't dance and are constantly jostled by people moving through the club and can't get a drink. Way too expensive at $85.00 per person. Tourist trap that maybe a "should do" but you're not missing much if you've seen other shows.

  • This was the craziest night club I have visited so far. I really liked the theme and seating area that we got. We purchased the VIP pass and I would recommend the same to anyone going there. Go early so you can get a nice spot. Beware of the waitress who forces you to drink the shots for $5(which are not worth it in my opinion). Rest of it is well and good. Enjoy! Oooh la la!!
