Isla Mujeres And Garrafon National Park, Cancun Reviews
Always have loved the park it's clean and beautiful. Food is excellent take the platinum option for better food and views. Staff always friendly and helpful please remember a tip at the end of your day these guys work hard in the heat. Snorkling good for beginners although can get a little crowded. Zip lines are fun and safe. Top bar with Jacuzzis has an amazing view of the blue sea and back to Cancun. Advise purchase the tour which will include ferry to island from Cancun and most will include transport from hotel to port.
We bought a ticket to Garrafon, at the pier. As it was so late in the day, they gave us free zip lining. Once we arrived at Garrafon, the attendant had no record that we had received free zip lining. The attendant at the pier had written it on the receipt he gave us, but apparently that wasn't good enough. We arrived at Garrafon at 1:30 pm. It closes around 5:00. Even with this short period of time left -- AFTER CHARGING US -- they kept us inside for over an hour, while the person at Garrafon attempted to contact the person at the pier, who apparently had better things to do than his job. We were with a group of six. Two of us weren't even interested in zip lining, but they wouldn't allow us out in the park, either, until the whole debacle had been resolved. The park was beautiful, but very small and crowded. The buffet was kind of dirty looking. I would not go back, even if it was free.
Usually visited as part of the swimming with dolphins experience but can be visited as a stand alone attraction. Probably best to arrange as part of a tour package as it would include transfer to and from the island by boat. The ride to the island is scenic in itself, as it affords tremendous panoramic views of Cancun on the way over. The water is turquoise clear and the transfer takes about forty minutes. The toilet and changing facilities are not the cleanest and the food available is average. The zip-wire, snorkeling and kayaking are excellent fun and were well-organised during the visit. Don't forget to bring your swimming cossies, sun block, hat and sun glasses. Towels are available. The swimming pool is only ideal from younger children but does afford an impressive view back to mainland Mexico. Bring your own camera too, as buying photos from the designated photographer is expensive.
Great events, fun things to do everywhere and all the time food is fantastic. Price ranges are good the basic one is great because it's doubtful that you'll enjoy everything that the premium one offers
Sightseeing only. Very beautiful water and scenery. No much to see for snorkeling. Lowest quality food in Isla Mujeres. Closes at 5pm and we arrived at 2pm so we paid child price $50/person. The beauty can be seen in many places around the island. No need to pay the 79 they want for poor snorkeling and awful food.
