Tulum Ruins Private Tour

Each Mayan city had a specific purpose, and Tulum was no exception. It was a seaport, trading mainly in turquoise and jade. As well as being the only Mayan city built on a coast, Tulum was one of the few protected by a wall. Made of limestone, the 784-meter wall encloses the site on three sides, is seven meters thick, and varies between three and five meters in height. You will see the House of Cenote, the mysterious Temple of the Wind God, the beautiful Temple of Paintings and Tulum’s tallest building The Castle. With essential background knowledge provided by the archaeologist guide, you’ll easily imagine how this city once served as a major seaport. You can also jump in the water at its beautiful beach and enjoy the unique view of the ruins from the water.

  • Beautiful hotel in the best zone of Cancun, Rooms are quite big and fancy, you have everything you need inside the hotek, including several restaurants with different cuisines so you don't get tired of the same food. Beautiful dawns every morning just a few steps from the beach. Blue ocean and white sands that makes Cancun one of the best beaches I've ever seen. Totally recommendable.

  • Not very good I booked an ocean front Suite and was given a back side room. I called to have the room changed and the front desk was short and rude. I politely asked (probably not the right approach) to speak with the manager on duty. I was told she was busy and so asked her to give me a call back it was very important. No one ever called me back. After three calls to the front desk I never got a hold of a manager. Do not recommend this hotel especially for the price. Horrible service and facilities.

  • If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... The hotel staff, from the front desk to the pool staff to housekeeping, went above and way beyond. We arrived very early and we're able to check in which started off our vacation very well. The pool staff, especially Quenni, were so observant and nice and made our experience fantastic. Finally, housekeeping did a great job keeping the room clean. I will definitely be back and I recommend very highly!!

  • My wife and I booked a room with a king bed more than two weeks before our stay. When we checked in we were told there were no more king beds and that on account of that we were being "upgraded" to a room with a better view and two queen beds. We sleep on a queen at home, so, though less than ideal for our honeymoon, we knew we could swing it and, seemingly having no other option, agreed. The room we were given had two double beds and smelled distinctly of urine. After the hotel failed to fix the urine issue, I requested a new room. The new room (which was represented to me as the last available, though the hotel seemed far from capacity) also had two double beds, unwieldy and rusty balcony doors that didn't completely close, and a poorer view, though devoid of noxious odor. No concessions were offered. As one double bed is too small for two adults, we ended up sleeping in different beds, on our honeymoon. The icing on the cake: the front desk agent who "upgraded" us to double beds knew it was our honeymoon. The staff were generally friendly and the campus was nice, but we do not recommend this hotel based on the misrepresentation (read: lie) regarding the beds and the overbooking of the room type we reserved well in advance. And obviously they should never have put anyone in the room with the urine stench before sorting it out - the strength of the scent was such that I have trouble seeing how it could have been overlooked, and mind you this is a fairly expensive hotel which bills itself as a provider of "five-star luxury beyond compare." Perhaps it had to do with the fact that our stay was on the heels of spring break season, but still unacceptable in my mind. Though an American tourist in Cancún should expect to be the subject of swindling attempts in some situations, I did not expect a hotel with a name that we once trusted to pull a bait and switch.

  • It's a paradise, I stayed there for a week (June 2017) and it was PERFECT. The staff couldn't be more helpful and kind, the breakfast is AMAZING! The restaurants are really really good, the room view is breathtaking, I have nothing to complain about anything. I miss it already, and when I go back to Cancun I'm not going to risk staying anywhere else.
