Xel - Ha Park, Cancun Reviews
This place is really well done. The snorkeling is much better than the catamaran excursions that take you to one small area and then they feed the fish. It's much more fun to explore the different areas. PROS: Decent food, multiple restaurant and drink stations. Decent locker accommodations and private showers. Photo stations set up all over to make it easy to not have to carry your phone/camera with you. Workers are very friendly and helpful. CONS: Photo package price is a little steep, would be nice if they had a promo price to include multiple parks/days. I wish more of the experiences were included in the ticket price or even just one of them.
We visited this place in the second week of 2018. We liked it and the weather was great. Below are some pros and cons, hope this helps. Pros: * Great place for snorkeling: nice clear water, you can see different kinds of fish and also stingrays * The park itself is amazing; take a moment to admire everything around you: you may encounter iguanas, large parrots and other great animals. There's also a 40m tower that you can climb and see the view from above. And on the way down you can slide, no need to use the stairs! * They are providing snorkeling equipment * They are providing food * All around the park there is a network of cameras you can use and get yourself in some cool pictures Cons: * I would recommend you bring your own snorkeling gear because they are providing a low quality one and it may leak or not work like you expect it to work * The food is not good at all... I did not expect that at all but that is what it is * If you are planning on taking the phone with you, get yourself an impermeable case beforehand. Because they are selling those at a price 5 times higher than you would normally find them on Amazon for example * It is expensive to buy the photos from the park; the ones you took with their cameras
Love the place. The all inclusive idea there actually works pretty well. The food is pretty good, especially in their Mexican food sites. Some of the extra activities are kind of a rip off. But if you like floating down a winding river, snorkeling with tropical fish, and a great beach, this place is awesome and beautiful.
This place is amazing! The option for having your pictures taken is a great idea so you don't need to take your camera around with you. Snorkeling was great, lazy tubing was good, bikes were fun to ride, the water slide tower is awesome and the view from up there is breathtaking. Great place for the family! I would go back again!
A good park and we had a great time, but had higher expectations. Drinks were good, but food was nothing special. Some highlights are they have a bike trail you can ride, see forest wildlife, then float down a lazy river in a tube which was relaxing. They also have cliffs to jump off of, zip lining, and a pretty Cenote you can explore. Disappointed in the snorkeling. Not many fish and you are only allowed to check gear out once, so some confusion on what equipment to carry around and how to get started. Front staff are also not helpful. Had some ticket disputes and pretty much told us we were SOL in trying to resolve the issue. Took an hour to get into the park so had some time wasted. A descent place and beautiful scenery, but “close to heaven” is a little bit of a stretch.
