The Ermita De Las Animas is small neighbourhood church also known as the Chapel of the Holy Souls. Offering sweeping mountain and the city views, the Ermita De Las Animas is located adjacent to the Shrine of Sorrows. The church is dedicated to the Blesssed Souls in Purgatory which has its origin in the earlier 1568’s. Entering the church, you can find the relief that depicts to the Virgin of Carmen who takes the souls to the journey o purgatory. The classic oil lamp is also notable.
