If you do not mind crowds and expensive accommodation, August is one of peak tourist seasons. The other is May, during the film festival, when the city itself sis glamorous and chic during that time. With the Mediterranean climate, it is usually great weather any time you decide to go. Best time to visit however, is September – April, covering fall (because of the colors), winter(because it’s cheap) and spring(the young crowd trickles in). Temperatures only dip below 10 degrees Celsius in winter and in summer hover around 30 degrees Celsius. The climate is pretty Mediterranean.
